The property is one of five stand-alone casinos that was awarded a slots license by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board on December 20, 2006.[1] It was developed by the Las Vegas Sands corporation. The casino was slated to open in July 2008, but demolition took longer than expected due to the heavy concrete foundations of the old steel building. Its opening was delayed until the second quarter of 2009. It opened on May 22, 2009. While the Las Vegas Sands owned several properties, this was the only casino in the United States to carry the Sands brand in its name, since the original Sands Hotel in Las Vegas was demolished and replaced with The Venetian, and the Sands Atlantic City was closed and demolished.
In the winter of 2009–2010, the casino was granted a license for table games which allowed the casino to expand to include 180 table games, including poker, blackjack and craps.[2] Table games began operation on July 18, 2010. Following the addition of table games, the casino has become a popular destination for Asian Americans from New York City, who frequently travel to the casino on motorcoach buses operated by Chinatown bus lines. More than 3,000 riders a day traveled by bus to the casino from Asian American neighborhoods in New York City. The casino has the busiest motorcoach business of any casino in Pennsylvania.[3]
Sands had offered $45 in free play vouchers for slot machines to riders who paid $15 for a bus ticket. This offer led to the creation of an underground market where Asian American bus riders from New York City, often low-income or homeless people, would sell their free play vouchers upon arriving at the casino and would hang around Bethlehem for the day without gambling before returning by bus to New York City. Casino patrons would buy the free play vouchers in bulk at a discount and use them in the video poker machines, which have a lower house advantage, and attempt to make a profit. On March 31, 2014, in an effort to end this practice, the video poker machines at Sands stopped accepting the free play vouchers given to bus riders.[3]
It was the only property in the company to end 2014 with a profit, doing better than Sands’ Vegas and Asia properties.
In November 2016, a planned expansion of the gaming floor, along with, two additional restaurants was announced.
In March 2018, it was announced that the property would be sold to Wind Creek Hospitality for $1.3 billion.[4][5] Wind Creek Hospitality had plans for a $190-million expansion to the property that would add a 300-room hotel and possibly an indoor water park.[6] The sale was completed in May 2019,[7] and the property was renamed as Wind Creek Bethlehem in July 2019.[8]
On June 10, 2020, Wind Creek Bethlehem was granted approval from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board to offer sports betting. Excalibur poker room comps. Three more Las Vegas poker rooms are no more.
According to a report from CardsChat, MGM properties Excalibur, Mandalay Bay and The Mirage have shuttered their poker rooms for good. They’d all been shut down since March due to the COVID-19 pandemic but company officials had called them ’temporary’ and said they’d be ’continually re-evaluated.’
Evidently, the evaluations have determined that the properties would be better off moving forward without spreading poker. While that will be sad news for many, there’s some silver lining in that six figures worth of bad beat jackpot must still be distributed back to the players, and it’ll happen in a series of freerolls. None were particularly robust rooms, each having between seven and 12 tables, and their closures continue an industry-wide trend of shrinkage in the Las Vegas market and Nevada in general.
In February, the last full month of pre-pandemic operations, there were 34 rooms in Clark County with 430 poker tables running, according to the Nevada Gaming Control Board. Today, those numbers are 21 and 285.
Statewide, it’s much the same. Where today one can find poker at 29 locations with the possibility of being seated at 338 tables, there were 57 venues hosting poker at 540 tables in February.

Why We Ranked it 5th: The Orleans is a bit of a forgotten poker room to those that mostly play on the Strip. If you placed The Orleans on the Strip, this poker room would potentially be the best in town. But we drop it a notch simply because it’s located a couple of miles away. With that said, this is an exceptional poker room. It’s well run, with Floor Manager’s that care about their customers. Comp rates of $1 per hour is standard for poker players in Las Vegas.
What we like most about The Orleans poker room is the mix of games. They regularly spread even some of the least commonly played games such as 7-card Stud. There are a lot of quality poker players that play at The Orleans, but even more Donkeys. Tournaments are solid and have reasonable blind structures. Room Comfort Level: The new MGM Grand poker room is less comfortable and noisier than the old poker room. The good news is they are eventually going to move back to the old room. Or, at least that’s what they’ve been saying since April 2012. Who knows if they ever will. The current poker room is a bit closer to the main casino floor and does not have the nice appearance of the old poker room.
Why We Ranked it 4th: MGM’s poker room is ranked ahead of The Orleans simply because of location. But The Orleans has a slightly better poker room. Location is very important for tourists. If you’re staying on the Strip, there really is no need to venture outside the Strip. But MGM still has a very good poker room, despite how negative we’ve sounded. The dealers are very friendly and you’re unlikely to have any issues with them. The Floor Mangers are friendly as well.
As for the games, you won’t see many mixed games spread. It’s mostly low-mid limit Texas Hold ‘Em (limit and no-limit). The 7:00 tournament ($80 buy-in and $125 on Friday/Saturday) has favorable blind structures and can be profitable. They usually get about 20-25 players for that tournament and they do allow re-buys. Why We Ranked it 1st: It was a tough choice between Venetian and Aria. The reasons we ranked Aria ahead of Venetian were for minor things such as slightly more comfortable chairs and being able to see the top poker pros in action. ILGA announced its decision to withhold regulatory approval for the casino, after Crown presented auditor reports late on Tuesday evening showing money laundering likely occurred in its Southbank and Riverbank bank accounts. While Mr Aspinall had previously argued Crown turned a blind eye to money laundering, the new evidence suggested something worse, he said on Friday. ’It’s to turn open eyes to a problem and then to turn your eyes away from the problem afraid of what you might find if you carry out the investigation,’ he said. Camelot’s sponsorship deal with ITV is to be wide-ranging and will see the National Lottery sponsor three of ITV’s biggest Saturday night shows. Viewers watching “The Masked Singer”, “The Voice UK” and “Ant & Dec’s Saturday night Takeaway” will see a range of quirky and entertaining idents advertising the lottery.
This is the first time that three of ITV’s Saturday night shows have been sponsored by one entity. Doing so will help to tie together the programming schedule as a full evening of entertainment. The campaign starts on December 19th and will continue for three months. Mark Trinder, Director of Commercial Sales and Partnerships at ITV was pleased to reveal the new deal. Speaking in a press release, he said:
“Saturday nights on ITV have come to define quintessential family entertainment, and as we celebrate the return of three of our most talked about shows – The Masked Singer, The Voice UK and Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway – we’re welcoming on board our brand new sponsor National Lottery operator, Camelot, for this innovative partnership that will put all the titans of Saturday night TV under one sponsorship umbrella.”
One of the main facets of the sponsorship deal will be the idents aired before programs and in between ad breaks. The inimitable Aardman animation studio has been brought on board to produce these in its unique, often humorous and instantly recognizable style. Aardman is perhaps best known as the force behind “Wallace & Gromit”, as well as other family favorites “Shaun the Sheep” and “Chicken Run”.
Camelot’s deal with ITV will not be limited to a series of witty idents though. The deal includes on-air sponsorship, multi-platform activation and a tailored licensing package. The sponsorship will also be visible on the ITV Hub, the channel’s on-demand service, as well as the age-gated version of The Voice UK app. Channels owned by ITV and The National Lottery are also included under the terms of the agreement.
Chief Marketing Officer at Camelot, Keith Moor, explained why the partnership between ITV and Camelot was such a good fit. The National Lottery has been entertaining the nation for more than a quarter of a century now, with Camelot at the helm since the very beginning. Exactly how much Camelot has paid to sponsor three of ITV’s top shows has not been disclosed, but it is rumored to be as high as £9 million. However, other sources say that it could have cost closer to £6 million, as Camelot swooped in to sponsor shows after ITV’s deal with Deliveroo fell through. Deliveroo had committed to a two-year sponsorship deal with ITV, but the coronavirus pandemic has had a severe impact on its business this year.
Camelot’s relationship with ITV began in 2018. That’s when it ran its first primetime Saturday night tv campaign fronted by some of the nation’s best-love personalities. The National Lottery now airs 90-second slots to show Lotto results on ITV, with host Stephen Mulhearn. Up until this point, the BBC had held the exclusive rights to air lottery results since it defeated ITV’s bid in 1994.

The campaign will help to boost Camelot’s brand awareness, which has taken a bit of a beating over recent years. In 2018, MPs called out the operator when evidence came to light that contributions to its Good Causes did not rise in step with its profits. That same year, it received a fine of £1.15 million from the Gambling Commission, over failings including a malfunctioning app.
If Camelot is selected as the winner of the fourth National Lottery license competition, it will be allowed to operate the lottery for another decade, starting in 2023. Which is why the Isoko people have been clamouring for equity and justice in the distribution of ministerial positions from Delta State. The unjust situation is the reason agitations by various groups, social-cultural and political, have become inevitable in the last couple of months.
That in a heterogeneous state like Delta, one ethnic group continually enjoys the privilege of having a ministerial slot for good four consecutive times, other three and another two and still angling for more whilst one gets none is democratically uneven, unjust, and worst still unacceptable for an ethnic nationality that contributes an average of 100,000bpd from oil fields that dots nooks and crannies of Isoko land.

Important
Use camel case to name your component. Camel case component folder names map to kebab case in markup. Every component is part of a namespace. Use a hyphen character (-) to separate the namespace from the component name. In markup, to reference a component in the example namespace with the name myComponent, use <example-my-component>.
A bit more information about naming. Lightning web components match web standards wherever possible. The HTML standard requires that custom element names contain a hyphen. You can use underscores in component folder names, but they don’t map to kebab case in markup. The names are legal because the namespace is separated with a hyphen, but most developers expect hyphens instead of underscores in a web component name. For example, the component <example-my_component> is legal, but it looks odd and may confuse developers consuming your component.
Note
The HTML spec mandates that tags for custom elements (components) aren’t self-closing. Self-closing tags end with />. Therefore, <example-my-component> includes a closing </example-my-component> tag.# HTML File
Every UI component must have an HTML file with the root tag <template>.
The HTML file follows the naming convention <component>.html, such as myComponent.html.
Create the HTML for a Lightning web component declaratively, within the <template> tag. The HTML template element contains your component’s HTML.
When a component renders, the <template> tag is replaced with the namespace and name of the component. If this component were in the example namespace, the tag is <example-my-component>.
To create your template, use these techniques:
*Create slots that component consumers can replace with content.# JavaScript File
Every UI component must have a JavaScript file, which is a class that defines the HTML element.
The JavaScript file follows the naming convention <component>.js, such as myComponent.js.
This class must include at least this code:
The core module is lwc. The import statement imports LightningElement from the lwc module. LightningElement is a custom wrapper of the standard HTML element.
The convention is for the class name to be Pascal Case, where the first letter of each word is capitalized. For myComponent.js, the class name is MyComponent.
Extend LightningElement to create a JavaScript class for a Lightning web component. The export default keywords export a MyComponent class for other components to use.
JavaScript files in Lightning web components are ES6 modules. By default, everything declared in a module is local—it’s scoped to the module.
The JavaScript class can contain: Casino terrace llc company.

*Event handlers
In addition to this JavaScript file that creates the HTML element, a UI component’s folder can contain other JavaScript files that are used to share code. These utility JavaScript files must be ES6 modules and must have names that are unique within the component’s folder.

A component can include a CSS file. Use standard CSS syntax to style Lightning web components.
To style a component, create a style sheet in the component bundle with the same name as the component. If the component is called myComponent, the style sheet is myComponent.css. The style sheet is applied automatically.

To create Jest tests for a component, create a folder called __tests__ at the top level of the component’s folder. Save the tests inside the __tests__ folder.
Jest runs JavaScript files in the __tests__ directory. Test files must have names that end in .js, and we recommend that tests end in .test.js. You can have a single test file with all of your component tests, or you can have multiple files to organize related tests. Test files can be placed in sub folders.

To share code between components, create an ES6 module and export the variables or functions that you want to expose.
The module folder and file name must follow the same naming conventions as a UI component.
An ES6 module is a file that explicitly exports functionality that other modules can use. Modules make it easier to structure your code without polluting the global scope.
Within a JavaScript class, to reference a module, use namespace/module. The forward slash character (/) separates the namespace from the module name.

Decorators add functionality to a property or function. The ability to create decorators is part of ECMAScript, but these decorators are unique to Lightning Web Components.#@api
To expose a public property, decorate a field with @api. Public properties define the API for a component. An owner component that uses the component in its HTML markup can access the component’s public properties via HTML attributes.
Public properties are reactive. If the value of a property changes, the component’s template re-renders any content that references the property. For more information, see Public Properties.
To expose a public method, decorate it with @api. Public methods also define the API for a component. To communicate down the component hierarchy, owner and parent components can call JavaScript methods on child components.#@track
All fields are reactive. When the framework observes a change to a field used in a template or used in the getter of a property used in a template, the component re-renders. However, there is a limit to the depth of changes that the framework observes.
If a field contains an object value or an array value, the framework observes changes that assign a new value to the field. If the value that you assign to the field is not to the previous value, the component re-renders.
Decorate a field with @track to tell the framework to observe changes to the properties of an object or to the elements of an array.

LWC has an elegant way to provide a stream of data to a component. Declare a component’s data requirements in a wire adapter. Use the @wire decorator to connect or wire a component to the wire adapter.
Wire adapters are a statically analyzable expression of data. Wire adapters can also have dynamic configuration parameters. If a configuration value changes, new data is provisioned and the component rerenders.

Write templates using standard HTML and a few directives that are unique to Lightning Web Components. Directives are special HTML attributes that add dynamic behavior to an HTML template. Directives give you more power to manipulate the DOM in markup.
These are the directives supported in Lightning Web Components templates.#for:each={array}
Use this directive to iterate over an array and render a list.

Use this directive to access the current item’s zero-based index.
The index placeholder is a new identifier that the model injects into the current scope.

Use this directive to conditionally render DOM elements in a template.
The expression can be a JavaScript identifier (for example, person) or dot notation that accesses a property from an object (person.firstName). The engine doesn’t allow computed expressions (person[2].name[’John’]). To compute the value of expression, use a getter in the JavaScript class.

Use this directive to apply special behavior to the first or last item in an array and render a list.
Access these properties on the iteratorName:
*value—The value of the item in the list. Use this property to access the properties of the array. For example, iteratorName.value.propertyName.
*index—The index of the item in the list.*first—A boolean value indicating whether this item is the first item in the list.
*last—A boolean value indicating whether this item is the last item in the list.

Use this directive to improve rendering performance by assigning a unique identifier to each item in a list. The key must be a string or a number, it can’t be an object. The engine uses the keys to determine which items have changed.

Add this directive to a native HTML element to call appendChild() on the element from the owner’s JavaScript class and preserve styling.
If a call to appendChild() manipulates the DOM, styling isn’t applied to the appended element. Using JavaScript to manipulate the DOM isn’t recommended when programming Lightning web components, but some third-party JavaScript libraries require it.

You can add components within the body of another component. Composition enables you to build complex components from simpler building-block components. Composing apps and components from a set of smaller components makes code more reusable and maintainable.
Let’s look at a simple app. The components are in the examplenamespace. The markup is contrived because we want to illustrate the concepts of owner and container.
Owner
The owner is the component that owns the template. In this example, the owner is the example-todo-app component. The owner controls all the composed (child) components that it contains. An owner can:
*Set public properties on composed components
*Call public methods on composed components
*Listen for events dispatched by composed components
Container
A container contains other components but itself is contained within the owner component. In this example, example-todo-wrapper is a container. A container is less powerful than the owner. A container can:
*Read, but not change, public properties in contained components
*Call public methods on composed components
*Listen for some, but not necessarily all, events bubbled up by components that it contains. See Configure Event Propagation.Lightning Web Components Slots Games
Parent and child
When a component contains another component, which, in turn, can contain other components, we have a containment hierarchy. In the documentation, we sometimes talk about parent and child components. A parent component contains a child component. A parent component can be the owner or a container.# Set a Property on a Child Component
To communicate down the containment hierarchy, an owner can set a property on a child component. An attribute in HTML turns into a property assignment in JavaScript.
Let’s look at how the owner, example-todo-app, sets public properties on the two instances of example-todo-item.
In the playground, select todoItem.js. The @api decorator exposes the itemName field as a public property.
Select todoApp.html. To set the public itemName property, it sets the item-name attribute on each example-todo-item component. Change Milk to Hummus to see an item name change.
Property names in JavaScript are in camel case while HTML attribute names are in kebab case (dash-separated) to match HTML standards. In todoApp.html, the item-name attribute in markup maps to the itemName JavaScript property of todoItem.js.
Tip
This example uses the static values Milk and Bread. A real-world component would typically use a for:each iteration over a collection computed in the owner’s JavaScript file, todoApp.js.
Let’s look at another example of composition and data binding. The example-contact-tile component exposes a contact public property (@api contact in contactTile.js). The parent component, example-composition-basics, sets the value of contact.
The contact public property in example-contact-tile is initialized based on the contact property value of its owner. The data binding for property values is one way. If the property value changes in the owner, the updated value propagates to the child. For example, in compositionBasics.js, change Name: ’Amy Taylor’, to Name: ’Stacy Adams’,. The change is reflected in the example-contact-tile child component.

When a component decorates a field with @api to expose it as a public property, it should set the value only when it initializes the field, if at all. After the field is initialized, only the owner component should set the value.
To trigger a mutation for a property value provided by an owner component, a child component can send an event to the owner. The owner can change the property value, which propagates down to the child.
Example
The Lightning Web Components recipes app has a more realistic example. Click Child-to-Parent and look at the EventWithData example, which has a list of contacts. When a user clicks a contact, the component sends an event to the parent, which sends a new contact object to the child.# Data Flow Considerations
To prevent code complexity and unexpected side effects, data should flow in one direction, from owner to child.# Primitive Property Values
We recommend using primitive data types for public properties instead of using object data types. Slice complex data structures in a higher-level component and pass the primitive values to the component descendants.
Primitive values require specific @api properties that clearly define the data shape. Accepting an object or an array requires documentation to specify the shape. If an object shape changes, consumers break.Lightning Web Components Slots Free Play
Standard HTML elements accept only primitive values for attributes. When a standard HTML element needs a complex shape, it uses child components. For example, a table element uses tr and td elements. Only primitive types can be defined in HTML. For example, <table data={..}> isn’t a value in HTML. However, you could create a table Lightning web component with a data API.# Objects Passed to Components Are Read-Only
A non-primitive value (like an object or array) passed to a component is read-only. The component cannot change the content of the object or array. If the component tries to change the content, you see an error in the browser console.
To mutate the data, the component can make a shallow copy of the objects it wants to mutate.
More commonly, the component can send an event to the owner of the object. When the owner receives the event, it mutates the data, which is sent back down to the child.
Tip
The next example attempts to help you fully understand that objects passed to a component are read-only. The example doesn’t contain best practices, instead, it shows code that doesn’t work.
In the following playground, example-contact-tile-object exposes its contact field as a public property. The parent, example-composition-basics-object, defines a contact object and passes it to example-contact-tile-object. The child component can’t mutate the object.
*Open the browser’s JavaScript console and clear it.
*Click Update contact.name. The contact-tile-object component tries and fails to update the name property of the object that it received from its owner.
The browser console displays the error: Uncaught Error: Invalid mutation: Cannot set ’name’ on ’[object Object]’. ’[object Object]’ is read-only. The component doesn’t own the object passed to it and can’t mutate it.
This is a tricky but important thing to understand. The contact object passed to example-contact-tile-object is read-only. That object is owned by the component that passed it to the child. However, the child owns its contact field and can set that field to a new value. Let’s look at some code to see how this works.
*Click Update contact field. The contact-tile-object component successfully sets a new value for the contact field.
Again, the contact-tile-object component owns its contact field, and it can assign a new value to that field.
Note
After clicking Update contact field, the child component owns the object, which means that the child can mutate the object. Therefore, if you click Update contact.name again, you may expect the component to display Jennifer Wu, but it doesn’t. The value is set, and Jennifer Wu displays in the console, which means that the component did mutate the object.
